Signature Programs: Leadership Mindsets That Elevate Performance

In my keynote talks, I show leaders how to overcome the key problems organizations are facing: employee engagement, staff turnover, productivity, low trust levels, and workplace conflict and drama.

My talks are a wake-up call for leaders that changing their mindsets will lead to sustainable results and enhance their leadership legacies.

Here are overviews of my four signature programs. For details on these programs, go to the Signature Programs page.

Build Your Association Through Better Decision Making

It is not WHAT you think, but HOW you think that makes a difference in the outcomes you generate.

Decisions made under emotional duress, stress, anxiety, and pressure tend to be less than optimal.

There are five major mistakes people make when facing hard decisions.

Better decision-making and better thinking — and thus better outcomes — can be yours by understanding how stress and anxiety impacts your decision-making.

Managing People is a 1980s Construct Not Relevant Today

People do not want to be managed. They want to be led, motivated, empowered, trusted, and given opportunities to grow their skills and decision-making capabilities.

Employees want (and need) to be coached, mentored, unshackled from directives, and freed from being told how to accomplish their work.

Leaders who manage people — instead of being people-centric leaders — are the major contributors to the Great Resignation and Quiet Quitting trends.

Leaders need to excel at the coaching and people development aspects of leadership. They need to put aside micromanaging and escalate micro-coaching.

Humony Mindset Creates Legacy Leaders

The  global business environment was changing before Covid, but now these changes are happening at warp speed. We are in the throes of a pivotal moment, facing the greatest transformation in how we work and lead since the early days of word processing and the desktop computer.

Work is not working for many people — because of the way they are managed (and not led) — resulting in the Great Resignation and Quiet Quitting trends.

Humony Leadership is a better approach. Humony is a created word comprising human, humanity, and harmony to emphasize the leading of people and the need for leaders to create workplaces of wellbeing and harmony.

Leaders must unlearn management, relearn to be human, and learn to be people-centric to drive long-term sustainable success and their leadership legacy.

Leaders: Start All Relationships on Basis of Trust

One lesson from the pandemic: people want greater human connection. Leaders need to excel at the human connection aspect of leadership. That human connection starts with trust.

Research across the globe confirms a lack of trust in the workplace today by managers, leaders, and employees.

The lack of trust by managers and leaders in employees reduces inclusion, productivity, innovation, and results.

The solution: stop telling team members “here’s how to earn your trust.” Start with trust and advise them what it takes to lose your trust.

The best education comes not from being taught, but in being inspired.

I would rather educate and inspire a hundred than teach a thousand.

My Values & Beliefs

I believe Great Leadership is an art. It is the art of achieving progress through the involvement and actions of others.

Here are four other things I believe about Great Leadership:

Leadership is about both people and results

If you have to neglect one, put aside the short-term results for the long-term results will come in time when you have developed your people.

Great leaders are great listeners

Great leaders know they learn more from listening than from speaking. It is why you have two ears and one mouth!

Great leaders are found at all levels of organizations

Great leadership is not confined to the executive suites or ownership ranks. You CAN become a great leader!

People development is your #1 priority

Developing your people is the single most important long-term priority and responsibility of all leaders, at all levels of organizations. Great leaders ensure this happens.
